Semi Permanent Mould Release Agent

Marbocote Mould Cleaner: A clean mould is essential to enable a semi-permanent mould release agent to give maximum performance. Marbocote Mould Cleaner is a blend of organic solvents designed to make mould cleaning as easy and effective as possible.

Marbocote RS415 Mould Sealer: Recommended to seal micro-porosity in epoxy or aluminium moulds. After cleaning the mould, apply 2 coats of RS415 to prime and seal the mould surface. Following a short cure, the mould is ready for application of the release agent.

Marbocote GRP Mould Sealer: Recommended to seal micro-porosity in polyester or vinylester GRP moulds. After cleaning the mould, apply 2 coats of GRP Sealer to prime and seal the mould surface. Following a short cure, the mould is ready for application of the release agent.

Marbocote 227: A general purpose semi-permanent mould release agent, designed to release most thermosetting polymers (except isocyanate based polymers and silicones) and composite materials. Using a blend of organic solvents enables the product to achieve a quick dry and cure at room temperature.

Marbocote Fastcote LP: Specifically formulated to release open moulded glass reinforced polyesters and vinyl esters. Fastcote produces an instant gloss finish with no need for polishing.

Marbocote Spraycote: An easy to use spray applied semi-permanent capable of generating an instant gloss and multiple releases per application, ideally suited for application to large open moulds, such most GRP moulds, in the minimum time. The ability to spray-apply makes release agent application up to 20 x faster than traditional paste waxes – and the product is durable, meaning that many releases can be achieved before reapplication is necessary. Several versions of Spraycote are available.

Marbocote 220: Specifically formulated for Glass Reinforced Polymers such open moulded glass reinforced polyesters and vinyl esters. A high gloss finish can be obtained easily and with minimal effort. Marbocote 220 also offers excellent durability / multiple release performance.

Marbocote TRE 45 ECO: An Aerospace Specified product designed to release epoxy, polyester, vinyl ester, phenolic, BMI and other thermosetting resins, it will not contaminate the released surface, essential when post moulding adhesion processes are involved.

Marbocote CMR: Specifically formulated for Closed Mould processes. A frequent occurrence in closed moulding process, such as scrimp, infusion and RTM, is resin build-up (typically polyester). Marbocote CMR removes the build-up as you apply the release agent. Marbocote CMR can be used on all mould types and enables a high gloss finish to be obtained.

Marbocote 75ECO: A general purpose semi-permanent mould release agent designed to release most thermosetting polymers. The slower drying nature of the 75ECO enables a high gloss finish to be obtained.

Marbocote 625X: A combination of semi-permanent resin and microcrystalline wax. The product is applied in a similar manner to a liquid wax, giving the advantages of film visibility, high slip and enhanced gloss finish. As the product also contains a curing polymer, multiple releases per application are also obtained. The product is ideal for applications that prefer the cost benefits of a semi-permanent but also want the ease of use of a wax.

Water Based Semi-Permanent Release Agents

Marbocote W1141: Latest technology, giving the most durable surface that delivers increased release performance with no transfer and reduced mould build. Excellent release of all rubber types giving maximum number of releases per application and helps keep the mould cleaner for longer. W1141 forms a hard resinous film giving both durability and high slip. Also available in 400ml non-flammable (compressed air) aerosols.

Marbocote WC36: Concentrated water based SPMRA. Can be diluted by the customer at up to 5:1 ratio immediately prior to application, thereby offering significantly lower product cost. Depending on water quality, diluted product is stable for up to 2 weeks.
Marbocote W630: General purpose release agent. Also suitable for specialised rubber applications e.g. HNBR, Chlorinated, Sulphonated, giving little or no transfer. Also available in 400ml non-flammable (compressed air) aerosols.

Marbocote W636: A high slip product used for rubbers that are difficult to release, e.g. deep cavities or short hose. Can also be used for castable PU and in the Rotational Moulding industry.

Marbocote W802: A low solids/ low cost product offering customers an alternative to traditional sacrificial release agents where application is required almost every release but where no transfer and release performance is important.

Marbocote W810: High performance cost competitive product suitable for applications when maximum number of releases per application is not primary goal. Developed specifically for the Tyre industry where it is applied each shift. Product gives extended mould life (up to 6 times more than competitive products) and produces improved release and finish to tyres and other components.
